Greene County Food Pantry Announces “Feed the Need Giving Month”
September is National Hunger Month, and the Greene County Food Pantry (GCFP) invites the community to join Feed the Need Giving Month. In Greene County, over 30% of households live at or below the poverty line. For 18 years, GCFP has served local families with compassion and dignity, distributing over 2 million pounds of food in just the last six years.
All September long, local restaurants, retailers, and businesses will display QR codes where shoppers, diners, and church patrons may easily donate. With just a scan, every dollar goes directly to fighting hunger in Greene County.
Feed the Need Giving Month is more than raising funds. It is about strengthening our community. Hunger affects health, learning, and opportunity. Together, we can provide hope, restore dignity, and uplift lives.
