You have the power to make a difference in the lives of those in need in our community.  By donating food, you can ensure children, senior citizens, and families across Greene County will have something to eat.  Through food donations, we are able to supplement what we are giving families and to help those who have no food. The fight against hunger is one that we can win if we work together.

Start a Food or Fund Drive

Make a direct impact in Greene County by hosting a Food or Fund Drive!

Whether you’re part of a business, school, church, or community group, or even just an individual, it’s a great way to bring people together. Spark friendly competition, and strengthen community bonds, all while helping feed local families in need.

Food drives collect dry and canned goods, which help keep our pantry shelves stocked. This is an opportunity to be creative and have fun. Consider the following:

  • Host a dinner party, and have guests bring pantry items.

  • Sports groups - Play to Win 50/50 Pot

  • Canned good tower building competitions

  • Host a food drive at your organization or neighborhood

  • The possibilities are endless!

Set a goal, rally your team, track your progress, and celebrate your success together. You can launch your own drive or join an existing one. Need help? Explore our suggested items list below, or reach out for tips, ideas, and fun ways to boost participation.

Greene County Food Pantry will pick up items or even offer ideas to help make your event a success!
